THE STYLE EDIT | DRESSING THE STORY
Paris Fashion Week opens this week with the Spring/Summer 2027 collections. Each season's runway offers more than colors to copy; it asks how craft, movement, and identity travel from an idea into something we can wear. That question feels personal to me: when I choose an outfit, I'm deciding how I want to enter a room before I say a word.
I wore a burgundy suit with feather-trimmed cuffs, layered necklaces, a black headwrap and sunglasses, finished with white-and-blue heels. The tailored color gave the look its anchor; the cuffs brought movement, and the shoes added contrast. I wanted structure with room for play. What piece from your own wardrobe tells your story before you introduce yourself?

Fall 2026 runway coverage is a prompt to make color personal. I am less interested in copying a look than in asking how the color can move through a wardrobe built around tailoring, clean neutrals, statement texture, and a touch of theatre. Four palettes feel like me:

Burgundy, ivory, and chrome blue: a rich tailored base, softened by ivory and finished with a cool metallic accent.
Vivid red, charcoal, and gold: confident color with a classic dark foundation and a polished gold detail.
Royal purple, black, and ivory: depth and drama balanced by crisp neutrals and clean lines.
Butter yellow, camel, and burgundy: softer warmth grounded by a familiar deep tone.
Which palette would you wear?
