CENTRAL FLORIDA BUZZ | GROWTH OPENS A QUESTION
International Drive changes in stages, and a pipeline of more than $5.5 billion in planned development gives us a reason to look beyond the rendering. The District's list spans hotels, homes, dining, retail, attractions, entertainment, and mobility at different points, from open and under construction to proposals that still need detail. What will reach the street, when, and for whom?
The OCCC Grand Concourse expansion sharpens that question. The Convention Center describes an additional 44,000 square feet of meeting space and a new 100,000-square-foot ballroom, with work expected to finish in 2029. Behind the building are people arriving to meet, work, exhibit, and visit. What would make the district easy to navigate for the attendee with an hour between sessions, the worker on a late shift, and the family turning one conference into a stay?
Tourism and foreign investment tell different stories about international connection. Visit Orlando counted 76.7 million visitors in 2025, including 6.3 million international travelers; Canada, the U.K., and Brazil were leading source markets. Separately, the Orlando Economic Partnership reports more than 340 foreign-owned firms from over 30 countries, employing about 40,000 people, with $2.7 billion in foreign direct investment over the last decade. Visit Orlando's figures describe travelers; the OEP numbers describe businesses, jobs, and capital. Keeping those measures distinct helps us ask what the communities behind them might need to live, work, and connect here.
The answer could touch language access, transportation, relocation, food, design, property care, hospitality, or new partnerships. A trend can start a conversation; listening to local customers will show where a particular service can help. What might your business contribute to this growth? I'm looking for local partners who know what they do well and how it can help a resident, visitor, or business move forward.
That question reaches beyond property: who can welcome, guide, equip, design, repair, and care for people making a home or growing a business here? Those are the connections we want to uncover through the Global Premier Real Estate vendor network.
