Central Florida Buzz: Two Ribbon-Cuttings Worth Watching

September 13, 20261 min read

Two ribbon-cuttings this week say more about the region than either headline does alone.

AdventHealth just completed a $220 million piece of its $365 million Central Florida expansion, breaking ground back in 2024 and cutting the ribbon September 2. That's not just a bigger hospital, it's a signal: healthcare systems don't commit nine figures to a region they expect to shrink. Meanwhile, Barnes & Noble opens a new Orlando location September 9, with local author Danielle Kelly hosting the ribbon-cutting and a book signing. Big infrastructure and small local culture, both betting on the same growth.

Fine place to dine: Nomikai by Sushi Saint at ICON Park, Michelin-starred Chef Michael Collantes' Japanese-inspired shareable plates, soft-opened August 19.

What factors trigger a decision to buy - We are talking about LOCATION, is it a Walmart, Target or a Starbucks?
